This site is mostly just a collection of my projects i've done over the years and few sketches and ideas that have still not seen the light of the day and most likely never will.
This About page will most likely work as an news/updates page, might change the structure of it at some point.
I have tried to put the pictures in order from latest to earliest or just put whatever i found the best and coolest first cause i'm a big boy now and can make me own site, i also let the site to position them to whichever it think looks the nicest form so basically ignore this whole paragraph.
The background images are temporary and well, to be frank horrible horrible quality since most of them were never designed to be backgrounds in the fist place. Except i kinda really like the front page and this about page ones now, so we'll see
All page related links underlined and orange and outgoing sites which open up to new window are Yellow.
Except the titles and to do list, which also use that color sceme cause i know like three colors in total.
Will fix those and other problems in time, but first i must manage to put the basic page structure together and complete the monumental project of resizing and uploading the missing photos from the last 10 years or so.
In the mean time i think most can be found at Metallikonna@facebook.
Most photos should have an short description in them when clicked, some Finnish some English some both, some none.
1.9.2021 Another breakthrough at school. Turns out that you can actually imprint colored photos to metal and they look pretty damn great!
Next step is to find a way to make the black and white photos that can handle etching and still look happy and pretty afterwards.
30.8.2021 Another long break, but this time i manage to make a new page titled "School", showing the latest school projects. Which are mostly brass and copper etching. Some of them are part of my professional competence display and some will be on sale at the end of this year. Page has a bit different layout than the other older ones, i'm not quite sure which one i'll keep but for now this is the way it shall stay.
21.1.2021 Long long break, trying to balance between working, studying, personal projects and minimal socializing.
Added an an school inspired Apple under 3D-Pen which shows the structure and process of making an object.
15.12.2020 Somewhat busy with christmas stuff, totally not been lazy at all. First patch of Can-handles are done and delivered. Been working on a more industrial version made of tempered steel and wood, but implementing it will have wait till i have proper tools and workspace, in the meantime i might do a mockup version from filament to see how it works.
24.11.2020 Just finished an second Can-handle and still have at the moment two more to go, still second one has a bit tighter springs, doesn't seem to affect the function and it still looks so very very pretty.
Blender is not a nice thing, i just want to make a model of a fish sandal damned.
I finished up the phone holder, but it is quite difficult to get a photo of it since its basically black plastic on black leather bond together with black glue holding an black and orange phone.
8.11.2020 Just a heads up, still fine tuning the phone holding thingy so that will turn up at some point, but also started working on graphics for our somewhat fresh, yet still countrywide club the OOOK (more info on that later) and it will be kinda sorta first time using rendering softwares so that might that a while and updates will slow down for a while.
5.11.2020 Many many ideas and failed tests later (DO NOT try to make an silicone mold of your phone, for the love of god do not try that.) i may have found an solution for phone wallet/holder. Will upload photos when the working prototype looks. Well, not horrible (see can-handle 2.0 prototype).
31.10.2020 Happy Halloween! Celebrated at local horror film event. If you ever visit Lappeenranta i do recommend that you checkout the culture venue Nuijamies. Had a change to talk about DnD in public place with strangers and John Goblikon won the best costume contest so great night! Will add some new photos at some point.
Also finished the can-handle 2.0 (spelled differently in every description) and uploaded the photos to 3D-Pen and also moved the photo of the prototype to under the finished model.
23.10.2020 Can-Handle 2.0 is ready for testing, it is an unfinished prototype, but the concept seems to works quite nicely, added an photo of the first test to the 3D-Pen gallery. The handle usually sits quite a bit higher, so that the bottom of the handle is lined up with the bottom of the can to add some extra support, but for the photography purposes the can was fitted with an Can-mask addon to hide the content of the said can.
21.10.2020 Another Quickie. O-rings are dumb and stupid and not fun whatsoever. I was for a while thinking of using hinges, but deemed that unnecessary. Now the latest idea is based on springs and it actually seems to work, Upload an prototype to Mixed, its clunky as all hell, but the mechanics works, so now just have to make it pretty.
20.10.2020 Just a quick update, Manage to get a hold of a photo of a Maintenance guy (Retirement gift for my boss's dad) and uploaded it into the Metal section and moved the unfinished one to Mixed.
19.10.2020 Finally had time and energy to resize and upload more photos, mostly to Metal.
Working on a 3D-Pen version of the Can handle. I Still want to keep it as light as possible, so latest model will be an single ring with an O-ring embedded inside to provide the grip.
12.10.2020 Had a busy weekend. Added some stuff to the Rpg and Wood pages now on monday.
I noticed some differences between galleries, will have to run through all of them when uploading photos is near completion.
Wood is still missing an cute and pointless logo from its page. I'll think of something to put there, perhaps some sort of an wooden object.
8.10.2020 just a few minor switching pictures around stuff and added a couple descriptions.
Made the Test and Front page test pages disappear, you don't need to see me messing around with them.
7.10.2020 To make thing move forward i have decided that site works well enough on almost any screen and to be honestly if you are not focused on reading my ramblings at higher than 1/4th of your screen size, i don't think you deserve them at that point, so there.
Added couple more photos, mostly metal and few glass.
Made few changes on how the galleries work, i hope its not too confusing. When hovering over the menu button (3d, candles etc.) you can either just click the main button to view the whole gallery or select one of the sub-categories about specific work.
6.10.2020 Cleaned up the background pictures. They are pretty now, except the metallic one, that's still kinda boring.
5.10.2020 A friend pointed out that the site works strangely when using anything, but full screen. Test page has an working solution and i'm working on updating it to the other pages as well. Added an additional "Frontpage test" where i'll try out various ideas, the current one works well enough, it wont show the copywrite text or the facebook link on screen too small, but the menu works and logo and backgrounds seems to stay in their place.
4.10.2020 Added an new Menu item "Test" basically an, well a test page to try out what my final gallery structure will be like.
Trying out new ideas for this About page, cleaned up the background photo and adjusting the lighting settings and fonts.
Noticed an problem with front page; it goes quite strange when viewing it smaller than full-screen, have to find an fix for that.
Mom called. She gave her approval for the site, "some of candles aren't very good, except the pink one (D.VA) which is nice" and costumes are "scary and terrifying", also the background picture on the front page should be smaller (sorry mom not going to change that one) but she instantly learned how to navigate without understanding an word of english so i'd call that an success. Love you mom and your brutally honest feedback.

3.10.2020 While the task of uploading pictures is still going on, i'll also keep working on the Beetroot warrior figurine (thank you Jussi, our D&D GM for your inspiration), the main body is done, next i'll need He-man or possibly Street shark toy to pose as an example on how to make ultra-manly arms and legs for it. This is also a nice test for me to try an figure out how to link to specific photo on the site,

-Instead of working on that, i decided to clean up the logo and update the front page background and with some much needed and helpful criticism i think it turned out pretty damn good.
TO-DO List:
-Upload photos
-remake backgrounds, tidy up the logo. DONE
-world domination.
-Ability to switch between Finnish/English
-remove "to-do list" at right time and claim it never existed
-Either find a way to add a subsection for projects with multiple photos or possibly turn them in to .gifs. DONE
